Grades Available
At SPK Precisions Components Ltd., our extensive supplier network enables us to offer a diverse range of steel grades to meet varying industry demands. We maintain ready stock of multiple grades across sulfurized low, medium, and high carbon steels, as well as a wide selection of alloy steels.
Material can be supplied as per customer specifications, including options like Single/Double Rolled, Billet or Bloom Route, and in various conditions such as Hot Rolled, Soft Annealed, Spheroidized Annealed, or Normalized.
Our flexible sourcing and inventory model ensures reliable availability of commonly used grades, while also supporting custom orders with precise metallurgical requirements.

Testing & Certifications

We conduct comprehensive in-house testing for every heat of steel received, verifying chemical composition, hardness, and mechanical properties to meet customer-specific standards. Every dispatch is accompanied by a Certified Test Report (CTR) for ease of documentation and assurance of quality.
Our advanced testing infrastructure includes:
-
Automated Eddy Current Testing (Dr. Foerster system with rotating probes) for high-sensitivity detection of longitudinal and transverse surface defects.
-
3-Meter Magnaflux Machine for surface and sub-surface defect detection using fluorescent magnetic particle inspection.
-
Ultrasonic Testing to reveal internal flaws that could compromise structural integrity.
Dimensional Precision & Surface Control
To ensure dimensional accuracy, we employ a series of 2-point and 3-point micrometers for diameter and ovality checks. We use carbide dies for 100% of production, minimizing size variations and maintaining strict tolerances. Ovality is closely monitored, especially on peeled and ground bars.
Surface finish is equally critical—our Surface Roughness Testers ensure that every bright bar maintains precise Ra, Ry, and Rz values.
Mechanical & Structural Integrity
Our laboratory is equipped with:
-
Brinell cum Rockwell Hardness Tester
-
Universal Testing Machine (UTM)
These help validate mechanical strength and material behavior under stress.
Straightness is another vital parameter. Each batch is tested statistically, and bars exceeding 0.5 mm per meter deviation are re-straightened to meet our internal quality benchmarks.
At SPK, precision is measured, not assumed. Our unwavering focus on quality ensures that every bright bar we deliver stands up to the most demanding applications.
